Module 2 is all about multiplication! It will help to be practicing multiplication facts at home! This week we learned strategies for breaking numbers apart and multiplying by multiples of 10. We will be moving into multi-digit multiplication next week. |
We launched a unit on personal expertise. This unit focuses on a topic that we know so much about, we can teach it to somebody else. This is our transition into informational writing. |
We are working on comprehension with nonfiction! This includes working on strategies for understanding, such as using a multi-flow map to show cause and effect relationships! |
We wrapped up our Biome Adaptations Project! Students completed animal and plant adaptations. Next week we will begin our first Social Studies unit of the year! |

Parent/Teachers conferences are now available for you to sign up through your family access account. Conferences will be held on December 5th and 6th this year.
Once you are logged into family access you will need to click on the Teacher Conferences tab to sign up for available times you would like to have your conferences. Directions with step by step screen shots are here & here in Spanish.
The window for signing up for conferences will be Nov. 1st 9:00am until November 15th by 3:30pm! After November 15th conference time slots will be closed and you will need to coordinate sign- ups or changes through your individual teachers.
Also, know that many teachers run their conferences back to back. Please do NOT schedule back/back conferences if you have more than one student as this does not allow time to get from one classroom to the next.
Holiday Gift Barn
“Holiday Gift Barn” is a holiday gift program for Issaquah School District families with children ages birth-18. Like last year, Pickering Barn will become a “department store” for families in need to do their holiday shopping. Child care will be available if needed.
